Requirement details
Passport photo
- Format: JPG, JPEG
- File size: 20 KB to 200 KB
- Background: Plain white
- Colour photo; face must cover at least 75% (3/4th) of the photo; frontal view; head centred; both ear lobes visible; looking directly at the camera; eyes open; natural expression; filename photo
- Dark background, uniform, or eyes hidden under coloured/dark glasses not accepted. Avoid glares on eyeglasses. Eyes must not be covered by hair. Photograph is not to be signed. No shadows on face or background.
- Upload a recent colour JPG named photo. UPSC also requires a separate live photograph on the official portal; an uploaded photo does not replace the live capture.
Triple signature
- Format: JPG, JPEG
- File size: 20 KB to 100 KB
- Pixels: 350×350 (max 500×500)
- Paper: Plain white paper (no lines or colours)
- Ink: Black ink
- Sign your own signature three times vertically (one below the other) with adequate gap. Scan all three in a single JPG named signature. Image must be clear, sharp, well-lit, properly oriented, and contain exactly three signatures.
