- Format: JPG, JPEG
- File size: 512 KB to 3215 KB
- Pixels: 900×1200 (max 2250×3000)
- Shape: 3:4
- Background: Neutral and plain; only you in the photo
- Face covers 70–80% of the image and is in the middle of the frame. Neutral expression; mouth closed.
- Prescription glasses allowed if clear, not tinted, no heavy frames, no glare.
- JPEG, portrait 3:4. Applicant page: 512 KB–3.14 MB. Photographer PDF: 900×1200 to 2250×3000 pixels. Do not digitally alter the photo.
The applicant page requires JPEG, portrait 3:4, 512 KB to 3.14 MB. Pixel ranges 900×1200 to 2250×3000 are from the official INZ photographer technical PDF. Paper applications use 35 mm × 45 mm; that print size is not used as a digital pixel target here.
